Be brave and give your children food in its natural state. They will figure out how to eat it, and how to spit out the parts they can't!
Let them see you eating the foods you want them to eat... they idolise you, they will watch and copy not only what you eat, but how you eat it. By seeing you eating fresh fruit, vegetables, nuts and other foods, and watching you cooking fresh meals their interest and intruige will lead them to explore new foods.
